Random Thoughts and an Update 09/11/2025
Hello folks! Long time, no hear. My apologies for the silence. I’m still on break for a little while longer, but I do plan to catch up on more of your articles when I get the chance.
Currently recovering from a summer cold that dulled my brain for a bit. In that foggy stretch, I rewatched Gundam SEED and—believe it or not—finally watched the original Mobile Suit Gundam series for the first time. A classic, officially checked off the list. I’ve got thoughts.
My daughter is back in school—YAY! One less delightful distraction tugging at my attention.
💭 Thoughts on X as a Business Model
As for X (yes, that X), I remain undecided. I lean toward long-form writing and essays, but posting links feels mismatched with a platform that thrives on cat memes, local icon bikini pics, and monetized chaos. Even I hesitate to click links, knowing they demand actual reading when all I wanted was a peek at the latest Gundam model.
While it’s nice to exchange virtual handshakes with fellow creators, my goal is to be more visible to a wider Japanese audience. I did get lucky with one hobby-related article that boosted my serotonin satisfaction quota. Sadly, I no longer exist ☹ despite further efforts. Perhaps I’m just too longwinded.
Despite my best efforts to filter out the noise, the negativity still seeps in. X can feel like a swirling morass of bad vibes, and it’s hard not to absorb some of that. I find myself scrolling Facebook more often—it feels less toxic, and I actually get good ideas from it. However…
💭 Thoughts on Facebook as a Business Model
FB remains an enigma. Despite consistent output, I get very little response. And balancing my personal side with my business side? Truly annoying. My parents do not need to know how to learn English.
As for my business, I’ve hit a wall. There’s something I need to do—but for the life of me, I can’t seem to do it, even though I’m prepared. Every time I try, I hit the wall of distraction and veer off the beaten path. Hence, the limited Note output. YouTube continues to be my forever bane.
Anyway, just wanted to pop in and share a few stray thoughts. Still on break, still lurking, still appreciating the good stuff when I see it. Stay cool and hydrated.
