こんにちは！私はブレット・オースティン、TESOL認定講師です。
カナダ出身で、現在は日本を拠点に、日本の学生向けにオンライン英語教育を提供しています。
教育に携わって20年以上になり、企業・塾・中学校など、さまざまな環境で指導してきました。こうした経験から、学習者の成功を支えることに強い情熱を持つようになりました。
また、私は日本の大学で教授をしている妻と結婚し、バイリンガルの子どもを育てています。日々、言語や文化の違いに触れながら生活しているため、柔軟に適応し続ける機会に恵まれています。こうした個人的な経験は、生徒の皆さんにとって言語的・文化的な架け橋となる指導へとつながっています。

私は英語教育だけでなく、物語やメディア分析にも深い関心を持っています。その活動が「Context Quest」です。
より明確に。より深く。より違った角度から。 Context Quest は、物語がどのようにメディアを越えて移り変わるのかを探るチャンネルです。映画、ドラマ、アニメ、サウンドトラック、ビデオゲーム、そしてテーブルトークRPGまで。ここでは流行や評価ではなく、物語・デザイン・表現がどのように体験を形づくるのかに着目して分析します。
メディアを個別に扱うのではなく、それらのつながりに注目します。映画的なアイデアがTRPGのプレイに影響を与え、ゲームの仕組みが物語の伝統を反映し、創造性がジャンルを越えて循環していく。その流れを丁寧に読み解いていきます。
